Yes my turret is hydraulicly controlled. The position is determined by the 3 limit switches, BCD-1, BCD-2, and BCD-4 through a truth table.
When I get to work monday I will clean up my file and post a copy of my work.

Hey Jorge,
I know offhand that,
1. using the servo motor and servo drives siemens original? Yes We are using the original servos and drives with resolver feedback on X,Z and the spindle
2. that references are servo drives and servo motor?
3. motor and spindle drives are Reliance? vector max plus? No the DC motor was bad so we just upgraded to an Automation Direct Durapulse 40hp drive
with a 40hp Baldor vector w/encoder feedback motor
4. I have no information of the hydraulic system, I can provide assistance on this part? please Yes we are still using the original Cincinnati hydraulic unit.
What is the model # of the machine you are retro-fitting?
Thanks

Rick,
my lathe is:
Model: 12C CINTURN
SERIES: 1412
Model: AE
serial: 5340C12-88-054
YEAR: 1988
VOLTS: 460CA
60Hz
www.linuxcnc.org/index.php/english/compo...ew&catid=38&id=23023
my friend's reference drives are 6RB2030 for two axes.
I mean it does not work maxpakplus vector drive for retrofit? That would be bad news.
Friend You let everything and came back to do all the wiring?
friend a photo to see the machine would be excellent.
friend please advice in connecting the drives and encoder.
Thanks Rick I hope you can solve your problem.

Hey Jorge,
Sorry buddy,
Yes in fact I have setup the gearchange component for our 2 speed transmission on the spindle. I had to set up some custom M codes (m141, m142) to be able to be used in the nc programs. I will try to find the info on creating custom m codes. I think there is some info in the integrator manual.
I had a machining center spindle drive go down today, on top of my resolver issues we are trying to iron out.
I will try my hardest to get you some info/logic tomorrow. I'm still working on my machining center drive issue. Gets a little hectic with just me looking after 7 turning centers and 5 machining centers.
Thanks

Rick.
Friend ..
apology ... I wear it more tiring than ugly girlfriend.
but do not forget about me ... I have a question regarding the HAL, when you put in:
# External output signals
# net spindle-low-range-sun <== hm2_5i23.0.7i71.0.3.output-00
# Net ....
So are comments?
or actually connected with HAL
thanks.
