Yet it doesn't when it hits the material?

Just try setting you MIN_LIMITS to -0.251

There shouldn't be any Z motion move in the GCode file, what does line 10 say in the display.

What is the amount of float switch travel you have and what value have you put in the Config panel for the float travel.

I am using the same gcode file that i was before but I clicked on the touch off button and and entered the max limit of the z axis not sure why I was just trying things and now it gives me error for exceeding the the limit of the z every time i try to start the job.

I measure the flaot switch travel before i have it at .30 on the config tab

If you had jogged Z down then touched off you should enter 0.00, then jog back to the top.

Edit what thickness is the material you are probing down to.

Did you have the Z axis at the correct height when you homed the machine, it is critical that you do.

Then you jog Z down to roughly level with the slats and touch off with a value of 0.00 You should never need to touch off again as long as you home the machine correctly.

Edit: if you have 0.3 of travel you will need to set your MIN_LIMIT to about -0.4

Homing is VERY important.
Because you don't have home switches you need to ensure that ALL three axes are in the correct position BEFORE you press the home button.
