I don't want to create a new topic and was wondering. I did prolonged Latency tests and it was always around 30k. Today it jumped to 39k when i've opened web browser.
I should just use that maximum setting for configuration?

I will be using 7i76e mesa card.

No, unless there is a special reason, the servo thread should always be 1000000 ns

You are mixing
base period/thread
with
servo period/thread
-Base period is used only with parallel port setups.
-Servo period is used for all setups and must remain at 1000000.
There are cases when those rules do not apply, but that is another topic.

Aha, so the test is just to see if the performance is up to the task, but i should always fill in 1000000.

ok

No need, it is always at 1 mill, so no filling in.
Also do not fill in a base period/thread.

That usually indicates a host Ethernet port setup issue.

What does

ip a

report?

Also to avoid routing issues is better to set the 7I76E card to 10.10.10.10 and the host to say 10.10.10.100/24

I think that i'm doing something wrong with my MESA card connection. Jumpers or a certain wire... It wasn't connecting to anything so i've created connection and than tried to ping the card.
I simply got: No 7i76e card connected or something like that.
Did i connected something wrong?
