That would have to be the most expensive playpen in Europe! I'm disappointed they were not surfing!

That would have been fun, but, the bigger one is a bit clumsy and falls and injures herself very often and the small one still has not enough grip.
Soon..... :)

I thought for a moment you were referring to yourself there as the bigger one!

LOL
Luckily my reflexes are pretty damn good, still.

The forum is having some weird issues, namely when i delete an oversized picture, it will delete the text in the message! This has been happening since yesterday, never before.
The second smaller machine is up on it's own legs, finally, so now the kids get two spaces to dance in.
Some pics

Regards,
Tom.

Tommy, I just wondered if there were reasons why you used the round rails vs linear rails?

Does look good though!

Needed 6 meter long ones, square ones are 4m.
Then had no place to build a 6x2m machine so had to cut them.
Most probably will be using them again as rails for the dual Y axis and a square one for the X axis, SBR25 and HGR20, respectively.
These are 30mm on the side and 20mm on the X, way to much and to heavy. Live and learn! :)

I'm glad about that becasue years ago you told me to buy 25mm square rails!

I looked at weights the other day. For the X, its hard to go lighter than the HGR15 mm rail and the radial torque is easilly able to be handled by one rail. In fact the 8mm mini rail will do but you cant get it long enough

The Esab i retrofitted had a single HiWin HGR20 on the X above the gantry, had a drill and pneumatic cylinders for drill and torch (2 of them) and a lot of air/n/o2/ hoses with valves on it's Z, in total around 15KG.
So yes, for plasma a single HGR15 will be plenty, but the price difference is so small that i will get the 20, same with SBR25, the price difference is about 8 euro/m from 20, so a difference in total for a 3x2 machine (3.5x2.3M rails) came to under 100 Euro, and they do look beefier as here everybody likes heavy big thick ..... never mind ...
