I don't know if I missed this already in a previous post, but question:
Is it possible to configure a UI (modular-like) when "installing" it whereby you can have it contain the features your machine has and hide ones that it doesn't?... or am I gonna have to take out a payday loan to build a tool changer carousel and buy some Renishaw stuff?

you need a payday loan for an ATC!:woohoo: kidding, everything is editable in the designer!

You can just use a different VCP...

qtpyvcp.kcjengr.com/showcase/index.html

The list is growing.

I really wish I had more time to play for you guys as it sorely needs a plasma VCP.

What features would be on your ideal plasma VCP?

Are these VCPs to sit in a tab inside or alongside existing GUIs, or full standalone GUIs?

They look more like the latter, but that isn't what "VCP" means to me.

They are mostly full standalone control panels, but I have a few QtPyVCP panels that I use along side Axis (not embedded). It should be possible to make a PyVCP type panel and embed in another GUI, though I have not tried that.

Virtual Control Panel is as opposed to a Physical Control Panel, so I guess even axis could be called a VCP, but I know what you mean with the long standing VCP toolkits like PyVCP and GladeVCP mostly being used for supplemental panels.

Andy,

if you have any time, i know you are a wiz with hal, we are having a time trying to get the M6 Remap macros we are using to work with the vismatch atc sim to finish up the atc graphics programming. would love your input on it if you have some time to put in it?

Chris
