Yes i do, but this time from PETG, the first batch from PLA warped and was rendered useless, meaning my shop gets to over 55 degree celcius in the summer! :)
The model i got from thingiverse, there are plenty, but some have issues with motion. These ones seem good, so i can find the link and post it here if you want me to.
The last bought ones cost an arm and a leg at roughly 70 euro per meter, citing pandemics and other BS!
Now i have to do some color coordination .... :)

Here is the link to the drag chain

Spent 10 minutes on google, does not find it at all, duckduckgo found it on first try!
The hate level for google is consistently rising! :)

Here is a video of one of those machines pushed quite far, cutting at 12m/m!
Missed the material 0 though... The guy on the video is the owner of the shop and machine now, he learns stuff quite quickly.

What dimensional tolerances could someone normally expect with one of these machines?

With a bit of test cutting, 0.2mm is quite attainable.
To many variables at play, air, nozzle wear, speed, material, etc.
Most times with 2 to 3 tries i get 0.1mm for small parts, but i never take that for granted.
Realistically, 0.5mm is always OK to aim for, on decorations it does not matter, and these always, always do decorations.

Yup i did think about doing just that, but i have not belt to do both sides for now.
And the ringing was there because the belts were very loose, now they are tight as a drum, so no ringing, and no vibration.

Tommy - in the middle of working out belt tensions and measuring real travel v”s requested travel to tune step scale.  Can you give anymore guidance on what “tight as a drum” means? Eg no more than X mm’s droop with a 1kg weight?

Also on your pulleys did you loctite them on to help avoid any shift?

thanks - J

Exactly, at 3.3 meters i had it so it does sag 10mm with 5kg load.
That was more of a "feeling" thing than any math or static calculation.
Be aware that my belts were of very good quality made by PowGe, China, 15mm wide HTD3 type, stainless steel reinforced, so they can withstand huge amounts of tension.

Thanks. I'm running the same 15mm PowGe steel reinforced belts. My runs are much shorter. 1.3m on X and ~650-700mm on Y.
