You will get all the help you need on this forum but you have to try and help yourself with giving good feedback with the results of any error messages you get and one step at a time.

The 7i92 Messa card is superb card and work well. Stick with it. It does take time to get your head around the hal and ini files.

Ok glad you got it fired up. If you use pnconfig again it will overwrite your files so you have to edit the files with a text editor.

I am not sure if you need these lines in a different format in the hal file:

setp [HMOT](CARD0).dpll.01.timer-us -50
setp [HMOT](CARD0).stepgen.timer-number 1

But hopefully PCW will chime in.

From what i gathered reading PCW's posts
DPLL = good ! :)
So i would leave that in.
On the other side, i have no clue how the line with stepgen got in there.

yes, whenever I edit pnconfig the hal changes, of course, and for now I always correct that line to get into the machine. which is the reason that linux always exports .. for me it's high school but I have no objections if it doesn't affect some later settings, I'm happy with this too :)
now i am reading a post about servotune by tommy and the next step is to bind the encoder .. i am reporting with new progress

my next question would be how to connect the line to enable servo amplifiers? factory on the machine it is + 10v that comes from the relay to the driver.
On 7i77 there is ena0 and ena + .. as I understood I need to put those + 10v on ena + and with ena- to go further wire to servo amp (driver). Is that correct?

The ENA+ and ENA- outputs are a switch so yes, if the drives are enabled by +10V, you wire
+10V to ENAx+ and wire ENAx- to the drive enable input.

It does look like there is a bug on pncconf when setting up a 7I77 only configuration
with a a 7I92 where it adds settings for a stepgen configuration.
(a 7I77+5i25 configuration does not have the same bug)

thank you tonight i should wire it and try make one axis run.. about 7i77 i think i did right firmware to 7i92 file 7i92_7i77_7i74D. .. but on pnccfg i have the same only choice i figured right and that is 7i77x2 with 7i77 on ( only that 7i77 has right number of encoder”six”) and i use mode3 operating for 7i77.
