I have a plasma welder from them. As a beginner i gave them a mail... And very good reaction and support. Was impressed.
They also do some youtubes.. And some of them show their goods quite detailed described.

i own one of these plasmas , they are a great value for money.
wrote them for a defect on the torch as installed it wrong, got insta reply from them and i got my torch replaced immediately .
Also the 5 year warranty , and support from them is awesome.
so everyone considering to get a cheap but yet good quality and functional plasma you should really consider Stahlwerk .
regards,
Shpat

Hello community.
I wanted to see an alternative of a Hyprterm 45A plasma machine to a more economical one, obviously not Chinese and that can connect with my THCAD-10 table. Is it the only thing I need to build my plasma table?

Did you read the first few pages, there should be plenty of info on what you need.
The better question is, what you already have ?

If I started reading that, and the materials I have are:
Hwin 20mm linear rails and hwin skates.
7i96 Mesa.
Thcad - 10.
Infrared sensors.
Nema 23 motor.
Driver Tb6600.
18 tooth pulleys.
and 15mm wide belts.
Intel nuc i3 pc with linux 2.8.
24v power supply.
3mm thick metal structure 2.6mx1.5m.
I read that the plasma must be low frequency so as not to interfere, I see that most have hypertherm plasma but I am looking for something cheaper and that I can connect to my card.

Nice !
You should use some reduction, it does work without it but not as smooth.
Plasma source can be any plasma that has pilot arc start, but non HF ones are easier to protect from EMI.
And yes the cheap ones will work, most of them not for long.

Added some more info about wiring and EMI, and changed the title a bit.

Added more info to the plasma source section (well post), types of pilot arc with short description on how they function, added the reed contact arcok link.

Hi! "some" time has passed so I would like to ask how did the Stahlwerk Cut 100 work out as a CNC plasma cutter power source?
Kind regards/Stefan
