No, it's still only 600x600. I tried watering it but it didn't grow.

Ahhh, playing tricks with the camera angle then. Sneaky!

Every plasma table wants to be a spaceship when it grows up!

(Loosley adapted from the winemaker who once said to me "Every botle of wine wants to be a red when it grows up!" Which I am sure a man of your tastes you can relate to)

I'm using OX plates on mine with 20 tooth pulleys. Tom said I should change to 16T...this may be the ideal time to do that.

Yeah, that would get you to 48mm/rev (1.89"/rev )which is pretty close to OK. I looked around for some 16T with 6.35mm (1/4") bore but I couldn't find any.

I had a look for you Phill but all I had was a 10T one which does not have enough meat to bore out.

Really you guys would be better off building a reduction drive. This one I made is pretty simple but you do need a lathe to make the shaft. I could find the drawings I guess. This bolts on in place of a NEMA23 motor and uses the normal ball screw bearings (the shaft is designed as a copy of a ballscrew shaft.

Thanks Rod, I probably will make a reduction unless I stay as my my normal lazy self and change to GT2 but that may be a bit light. The other lazy option is to get a 16T 5mm bore and see what happens when the bore grows to 6.35mm.

I bet it's fine bored to 1/4". Tom had me talked into GT2 with a 16T, but with the way this thing grabs hold of my top belt I don't know if the thinner belt will hold up.

I have a bit of GT2 here from 3D printers so I probably should at least test it out on one axis...
