This just avoid leaving Z above home switch when shutting down LCNC

Home switch should be at the top of the Z axis travel.
As you have it now, it will trip during work, as the material will deform during cutting and the torch will have to be set to whatever the material height is, moving the Z axis position to above the switch in worst case scenarios.

That is the reason why i wrote the above, in that picture the screw that trips the switch is above the switch.
If the max_limit is set under that switch, that is all good.
Although i would have added a piece of thin sheet to trip the switch and have it stay tripped up to the hard stop.

Doc's say this.

axis Z HOME should be at or just below axis Z MAXIMUM_LIMIT.

If I do this
If the max_limit is set under that switch, that is all good.
Then I can not home if necessary or ??

Homing does take a bit to get your head around, I think the terms HOME and HOME_OFFSET can be a bit confusing.

A proof of concept as regards my cable management. Need to have easy take down for storage.

This 'spider' is gas welding rod, 6 pcs attached to each short side so long sides are open. Need to shorten these rods a bit.
