Its all in place and connected. But i can't make it work.

Using the halscope i can see that I have 28000 when the torch touches the table and 36000 when its not touching. However i cant make this work in the Hal files, nor can i get the ohmic sensor light to light up when touching the torch to the material.

Also the encoder count continues to climb.

What have i got wrong??

Great you now  got ohmic sensing sorted and working with a THCAD-10 and my ohmic3.comp.

It was just a matter of connecting the pins to plasmac and being an older config, twopass was not enabled which prevented using seperate hal files.

Thanks Rod,

Took a bit but we got there. Big Thanks to Rod for guiding me through getting the connections all right. I ad some of the code muddled up, rookie error !!

All linked in and now working. Woo Hoo !!! Ohmic sensing is all connected and working correctly.

I'll post updates this week with where the CNC is at.

So it's all hooked up and running. Small issue when I powered up the Plasma. because the Razor Cut 45 torch doesn't have an extra shield, I was using the nozzle to give the signal feed for the ohmic sensing. This obviously stopped working once the plasma was powered up.So I have made a small set of spikes that are the same height as the nozzle with an extra wire for the ohmic sensing and it all work sweet. Thanks Rod for all the amazing help and support to get this running. So there are only 2 more upgrades to do and this CNC will be finished (if there is ever such a think as finished), Better water supply/filter/drain for the water table

When the UniMig RazorCut45 tips are starting to wear out (or you get dodgy, non genuine, even this they claim they are, but you know they aren't because they don't fit as well as genuine ones). I get this. The torch does it's probe but is unable to get an arc ok signal.

Sometimes I need to close the gap to get the arc ok signal and the cut to continue. this is how I manage to extend some life from the tips when they really need to be changed.

Been a big weekend for the CNC.

Cut the old mounting system out of the water table and designed and installed the new one.

Changed the slat orientation, made new slats, new slat holders.

One of things that I should have done from the start, but didn't. It all works much better now.

Next thing on the list is to redo the laser mounts.

Pics below.
