It seems to be in one direction.

Just move to a random X/Y point then move only Y+ and measure the move then move Y- and measure the move.

If you are missing steps and there is nothing mechanical binding, then the acceleration profile might be too aggressive which is why I suggested halving it.

Can you list voltages used, drivers, amps set in driver and motors?

Ah yeah man I remember you recommending that Rod...got sidetracked with the wife and when I came back to work on the issue I totally brain-farted. Is that in the main hal file?

The drivers are KL-5056, motors are NEMA 23 570oz/in 3.5A, power supply for those is a Meanwell SE 600-48, I have the drivers set to 2.7A (I didn't want to run them at max...didn't see a need with low-loading on a plasma table aluminum gantry) and microstepping is 1/4.

In the ini file, max_acceleration, for each axis.

Well the gcode seems to be correct. Looks a lot like backlash or lost steps in the Y axis.

Run the Y axis back and foward and measure the results

I've been re-resquaring the gantry. Between adjustments I run the gantry and Z to the opposite corner of the table at 900ipm, then back to home and measure from the end of the rail to the gantry plates on both sides of the Y. It returns to the exact same position every single time. Wtf am I missing here lol.

Just did this and Y+ is exactly as programmed (2"), and Y- back from where it stopped in the first move is exactly 1/32" short...which is consistent with what's been happening on the squares I've been cutting to troubleshoot with.

If you grab hold of it when it is stopped can you physically move it that much?

These were set at 30.0. I changed them to half (15.0) and all of the joints I changed are doing some crazy stuff, like turning hard enough to slip the belts and grind. Not good (they're all super tight too).

Can you also change the step time and step space in the ini file to 10000, do some test, and report back the results ?
Thank you.

I'll have to run it again and then when it gets there try it, and I'll also reset the stuff Tommy asked about so I'm doing 2 for 1 :)
